Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Blabble AI: what the service does, how you may use it, and the rights and responsibilities on both sides.

These Terms govern your use of Blabble AI. They’re written to be read, not just signed. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them — together with our Privacy Policy and AI Use Policy.

Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using Blabble AI (the “service”), you accept these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don’t use the service. If you’re using Blabble on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you’re authorised to accept these Terms for it.

What Blabble is — and isn’t

Blabble AI is an integrity-first study companion for IB students. It works from your own materials and helps you learn them. Specifically, Blabble can:

  • analyse the study documents you upload and pull out key concepts, gaps and focus areas;
  • generate study materials — quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, summaries, explanations and diagrams — grounded in your materials;
  • build exam-urgency-aware study plans and IB-style practice exams, and grade your practice answers against rubrics;
  • tutor you through a Socratic AI chat that guides your thinking rather than handing you answers;
  • track your progress and exam-readiness, and give teachers a view of their class.
Built to teach, never to cheat
Blabble deliberately will not do your graded work for you. It does not write essays, internal assessments or assignments for you to submit as your own, and it will not help you disguise AI-written work or evade AI-detection tools. Those features are switched off by design. The line is simple: Blabble helps you learn the material; producing your assessed work is your job.

Who can use Blabble

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • If you cannot agree to these Terms on your own, you need permission from a parent, guardian or school first. Separate child-consent rules can apply to optional data processing based on consent (see the Privacy Policy).
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You may not use Blabble if doing so is prohibited where you live.

Your account

Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. Your password is managed by Firebase, not stored by Blabble. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

Acceptable use & academic integrity

When you use Blabble, you agree to:

  • use it for genuine learning and study, in line with your school’s or institution’s academic-integrity policies;
  • upload only content you own or have permission to use, and not infringe anyone’s copyright;
  • treat AI-generated materials as study aids and check them for accuracy before relying on them;
  • not use Blabble to produce work you’ll pass off as your own assessed work, to cheat, or to evade AI-detection tools;
  • not attempt to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or abuse the service or its AI safeguards;
  • not upload illegal, harmful, hateful or abusive content, or content that violates others’ rights.
You’re responsible for how you use AI output
Different schools and exam boards have different rules about AI-assisted study. It’s your responsibility to follow your institution’s policy and to disclose AI assistance where required. Misusing Blabble to cheat can breach your school’s rules and these Terms.

AI features & credits

Blabble’s AI runs through OpenRouter and is subject to our AI Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. AI output can be wrong or incomplete — see “Disclaimers”.

To keep the service sustainable during the pilot, AI features use an AI-credits allowance: each AI action spends a few credits from a generous allowance that refreshes each period. Teachers and administrators are unlimited. If you run out, your existing materials stay available and your allowance resets — you’re never locked out of what you’ve already made. Your live balance is shown in the app.

Your content & the licence you give us

You own what you upload and create. Your documents, notes, recordings and the study materials generated from them are yours.

To run the service, you give Blabble a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and transmit your content, and to send the necessary parts to our AI provider, for the sole purpose of providing the features to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that age out on a normal cycle.

We don’t train on your work
We do not use your content to train our own AI models, and we do not sell it or use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.

Our intellectual property

Blabble AI — the platform, its design, software, prompts and brand — belongs to us and our licensors. These Terms don’t give you any ownership of it. You may not copy, resell or create competing services from it. AI-generated study materials are provided for your personal educational use.

Availability & third-party providers

We work to keep Blabble available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Blabble depends on third parties — including OpenRouter (AI), Firebase (authentication), our EEA hosting provider, and educational search providers — and we’re not responsible for their outages or changes. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Fees

Blabble is currently free
Blabble AI is offered free of charge during its pilot. We do not currently process payments or collect payment-card details, and any prices shown on the site are indicative of possible future plans only. If we introduce paid plans, we will update these Terms and clearly present the billing terms before any charge applies. Nothing here obliges you to pay anything today.

Disclaimers & accuracy of AI

  • AI-generated content — analysis, quizzes, explanations, grades and feedback — may contain errors or omissions. Always verify before relying on it, especially for exams.
  • Blabble provides study tools and guidance, not a guarantee of any grade, result or outcome.
  • You remain solely responsible for your own academic work, submissions and conduct.
  • The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with reasonable care but without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blabble is not liable for academic outcomes, grades, disciplinary decisions, lost data beyond our control, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including your mandatory rights as a consumer under EU law, which are unaffected. Where the service is free, our aggregate liability is limited accordingly.

Termination

You can stop using Blabble and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends; we handle your data afterwards as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law & disputes

Blabble is an independent, pre-incorporation project operated from Italy. These Terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights you enjoy where you live — those local rights always continue to apply to you. If we cannot resolve a consumer dispute directly, you may use an appropriate alternative dispute-resolution body or the courts available under applicable law. You can also raise a data-protection complaint with your local supervisory authority at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service or the law evolves. For material changes we’ll give notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Continuing to use Blabble after a change means you accept the updated Terms; if you don’t, you can stop using the service and close your account.
